5K FUN RUN - Saturday, May 16 at Jones Beach, Field 5
Check-In begins at 7 a.m. ; Run begins at 8 a.m.
The 5K Fun Run will take place at Jones Beach, Field 5 on Saturday, May 16, 2015, the same day as Walk MS. No matter what your physical level or ability, you will love this run as you make your way around the beach. All runners in the community are welcomed to sign up and be part of this new tradition that will kick off the Walk MS event.
The family friendly Fun Run has no registration fee and will have a start at 8 a.m. All participants are able to register for the 5K Fun Run as part of a Walk MS Team and stay for the duration of the Walk MS event to follow.
Event Highlights include:
- 3.1 mile course will take you from Field 5 to Field 1 and back again.
- This is an un-timed run
- Water and aide station
- Commemorative event shirt for all pre-registered participants who raise a minimum of $125.
Anyone who loves to run and is over the age of 12 on the day of the event can participate. Participants who are 12 to 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please note: Walkers are not permitted on the course for the Fun Run. The Walk MS event, utilizing the same course,will begin at 10 a.m.
